2021年7月，省委、省政府为更好地实施创新驱动发展战略，重建重振河南省科学院。河南省科学院生物医学研究所（以下简称“医学所”）为拟组建的河南省科学院下属新型事业单位。

目标定位：建成省内标杆，国内领先，具有全球影响力的研究型医工交叉融合新型技术研发机构。

运行模式：实行“1+1+N”的运行模式，即一个研究所（生物医学研究所）、一个研究院（转化医学产业研究院）、N个注册法人实体的有限公司；研究所、研究院实行院（所）长负责制，主要服务于PI研究团队与研究人员；研究上实行首席专家或PI负责制，给予首席专家或PI最大的自主权；实行年度目标责任制并责任到人，以目标为导向，实行灵活高效的激励机制，激发科研人员的工作热情。

医学所现已引进首席科学家6名，方向涵盖类器官芯片、细胞与基因治疗、脑科学与类脑智能、生物医用材料、人工智能与医疗大数据等。

医学所与上述合作单位以合作共赢、相互促进、共同发展为基本原则，通过充分发挥各自的优势，推进医工融合，实现资源互补，共同建设医学所，以国家卫生健康重大战略需求为导向，不断提升在疾病精准诊疗技术开发等方面的综合实力。

The Institute has now introduced 6 chief scientists, covering organ like chips, cell and gene therapy, brain science and brain like intelligence, biomedical materials, artificial intelligence and medical big data.

Based on the basic principles of win-win cooperation, mutual promotion and common development, the medical institute and the above cooperative units, by giving full play to their respective advantages, promoting medical and industrial integration, realizing resource complementarity, jointly build the medical institute, and continue to improve their comprehensive strength in the development of precision disease diagnosis and treatment technology, guided by the major strategic needs of national health.
